Michelangelo was born on 6 March 1475 in Caprice near Arezzo Tuscany. (Today, Caprice is known as Caprice Michelangelo). For several generations, his family had been small-scale bankers in Florence, but his father, Lodovico Di Leonardo Di Buonarroti Di Simon i, failed to maintain the bank’s financial status, and held occasional government positions. At the time of Michelangelo’s birth, his father was the Judicial Administrator of the small town of Caprice and local administrator of Chiusi Michelangelo’s mother was Francesca Di Nari Del Miniato Di Siana. The Buonarrotis claimed to descend from the Countess ; this claim remains unproven, but Michelangelo himself believed it. Several months after Michelangelo’s birth, the family returned to Florence, where Michelangelo was raised. At later times, during the prolonged illness and after the death of his mother in 1481 when he was just six years old, Michelangelo lived with a stonecutter and his wife and family in the town of Settingnano where his father owned a marble quarry and a small farm.

The Moses (c. 1513–1515) is a sculpture by the renowned High Renaissance artist Michelangelo Buonarroti, housed in the church of San Pietro Vincoli in Rome. The sculpture was commissioned in 1505 by Pope Julius 2 for his tomb. This famous work of art depicts the Biblical figure Moses with horns on his head, based on a description in the Vulgate the Latin translation of the Bible used at that time.
The marble sculpture depicts Moses with horns on his head. This was the normal medieval Western depiction of Moses, based on the description of Moses’ face as “cornuta” (“horned”) in the Latin Vulgate translation of Exodus. The Douay Bible Rhiems translates the Vulgate as, “And when Moses came down from the mount Sinai, he held the two tables of the testimony, and he knew not that his face was horned from the conversation of the Lord.”

battle of the centaures
The maker was Michael Angelo.
This is about the battle of the centaures
he created the Sistine chapel.
he sculped it around 1492
It was in Italy

The Moses sculpture was created by Michaelangelo. It began construction in 1505 and was finished in 1513. It was created in Rome. It was made of marble. The reason why it was made was so that it would be put on Pope Julious the seconds’ tomb.

The sculpture that I chose was the Pieta. It was sculpted by Michelangelo in 1848 in St. Peters Basilica in Vatican City. He sculpted the Pieta out marble. The statue was made for the cardinal’s funeral monument, but was moved to it’s current location, which is in Vatican City.

Moses by Michelangelo.
This is a sculpture by Michelangelo called Moses. He created it for the tomb of Pope Julius the second. It is located in San Pietro in Vincoli, Rome. The statue is made of marble and stands 92.5 inches tall. It was started in 1542 and finally finished in 1545. Personally, I think it is astonishing. I would love to got to Rome and see for myself.

One of Michelangelo's sculptures
One of my favorite pieces of sculpture is the Pieta by Michelangelo. The Pieta depicts the Virgin Mary the body of her son Jesus Christ after his death. Michelangelo was in his early twenties when he was commissioned in 1498 to do a life-size sculpture of the Virgin Mary holding her son in her arms. It was the first and only of four that he finished and it was to be unveiled in St. Peter’s Basilica for the Jubilee of 1500. In less than two years he carved on a single slab of marble. He decided to create a youthful, serene Mary instead of a brokenhearted older woman. Michelangelo made his sculpture very detailed and it looked extremely realistic. However, due to anger, Michelangelo made one change to his sculpture. Down the sash of the Virgin Mary is where he carved his name. Later he regretted it and vowed to never sign another one of his works again.
I made this image because it describes the class. It tells everyone that this is a 6th period art class. It shows that people can be colorful and creative.
I think it was kind of hard to draw all the art we did but it was fun.The closed books and the open books was pretty much the same, except on the open books there was 2 books actually open.I thought the roses and glass was the coolest out of the four.I struggled on how to make the glass look real.It was a challenge but I still tried. All the drawings were really cool.
The best still life drawing we did was prob. the books.I aint to good at drawing but the books was the easiest because it was just mostly lines straight lines.I have to say that the hardest was the fabric don’t know why I think it was because of all the lines that are in different directions and the books was all straight.
The still life drawings that we had to draw in class were the fabric, closed books, open books, and the roses and the glass. To me I thought the books we had to draw were the easiest to draw for me. The roses and the glass, and the fabric were the hardest. I think they were the hardest for me because you really had to take the time and think about how you were going to draw the lines and shapes to the fabric and on the roses. The books we had to draw were sort of the easiest for me. I really liked drawing the closed books the best though because the open books were more time consuming and you had to really concentrate on how you had to draw the pages of the open books and how the books were laying on the table.
It was hard drawing the four different objects. I don’t like to look at things and draw them. The best one that I drew was the roses and the glass. It turned out great when it was finished. I drew both sets of the books pretty well. The fabric was the hardest one to draw. I didn’t like the way that drawing turned out. The only one that I liked drawing was the rose and the glass.
Last week I drew four different drawings. The first one I drew was a piece of fabric. The fabric was placed in the center of both tables on both sides of the room. My drawing looked very good. I tried to use all of the shades of gray and did. I believe my fabric still life drawing was fantastic. The second drawing that I drew was of a pile of unopened books. It was not that challenging. The third drawing that we drew was another pile of books but this time two of the four books were opened. The fourth and final drawing we drew was of a beautiful pair of roses that were in front of a wine glass. I did very well and enjoyed drawing it. Mine looked fantastic and I believe it will sale in the art show. I had a great time drawing all of the drawings and hope to do it again.
What I struggled with the first drawing is getting the folds drawn right when I draw the fabric and I had to draw what I saw on one one side of the piece of fabric. Another thing I had a hard time was getting the shading right like I see the reflection on the table. The drawing with the books was pretty hard because the books was stacked on top of each other and it was really hard for me to draw the books like they are on the table. The next drawing with two of the books open wasn’t that hard for me to draw because there was only two books open and it was easy for me to draw the them an make the drawing look good.
Last week and yesterday we drew still life drawings. We drew a waded fabric, closed book, open book, and glass with roses. I had a little struggle with each. I didn’t know if my picture was big enough when I drew the fabric. When drawing the closed books it seemed like i couldn’t draw the books correctly. The shapes just seemed crooked and disoriented on my page. The open books made it considerably harder and I felt like my proportion was all wrong. The books didn’t even look like books to me.The glass and roses was the most challenging because I couldn’t seem to make the glass look reflective. I loved drawing the roses though and it made drawing the glass and roses very enjoyable. I did learn an extreme amount about how to draw things I had never attempted at before and I had a fun experience drawing the still life drawings.
The stile life drawings that I drew like the glass and roses really wasn’t that hard to draw. The contrast of it was you had to have five colors white, dark, light dark and gray. Also the roses where hard to draw at first but when I keep trying to draw it I finally drew it to where it kinda look like a rose.So on when it came to the books I had a lot of struggles with drawing it I couldn’t get it they way that it was suppose to look but it least in looked something like it.Therefore the most hardest drawing for me was drawing the rag cause it was just to complicated to draw and by the time I got finished with it.It looked nothing like a rag.
What is digital art?
Digital art is a different form of artwork and may be easier to many people. It can be mastered such as any other artwork. I personally like digital artwork. You can express yourself without honestly using words.
